The carved emeralds on this c.2000 bracelet by David Webb stand to attention. This allows the light to shine through them, and the colour is correspondingly wonderfully enhanced.
The large central carved emerald dome is topped by a an old-cut yellow diamond, bezel set, with a cluster of white diamonds around it. Each of the eight smaller carved emeralds has its own diamond cap at the top. Diamond lines are laid out around the bases of the emeralds in a pattern reminiscent of formal garden design, adding gravitas as well as glitter to this off-beat and playful arrangement of gems.
The diamonds are all set in platinum, except for the yellow diamond which glows in its yellow gold setting. The bracelet is sturdy, in hammered 18K gold.
