A pink tourmaline, pearl and diamond pendant/pin
Lang Antique and Estate Jewelry always comes up trumps. Their stock is amazing. So a stunning Art Nouveau pink tourmaline pendant/pin was just waiting for me when I opened their site.
This is quite a different pink from our necklace on the previous page. It is PINK! The pendant can also be worn as a pin or brooch, like most pendants of the time. It dates back to the first decade of the 20th century and combines “a curvaceous, classic Art Nouveau whiplash motif with Edwardian-era materials – specifically, small European-cut diamonds and lustrous natural pearls set in platinum over 18K gold.” (Lang Antique and Estate Jewelry).
But it’s those electric-raspberry pink tourmalines I’m looking at! The centre tourmaline is cut in a distinctive fan shape and a suspended pear shaped pink tourmaline swings below. The platinum chain measuring 16 inches is new.
