Retro fancy yellow and white diamond floral cluster ring c.1950
A stunning fancy yellow and white diamond floral cluster ring in a stylish bombé shape sits atop this Retro cocktail ring. The bunch of blooms is realistically designed as a three-dimensional cluster of white and fancy yellow diamond flowers, accented by calibre-cut emerald and diamond leaves, all mounted in platinum and yellow gold.
The ring is by Shreve & Co, established in 1852 in San Francisco by brothers George and Samuel Shreve. George had trained as a goldsmith alongside an older half-brother Benjamin who owned a jewelry store Shreve’s (later Shreve, Crump & Low) in Boston. By the 1880s, Shreve & Co were among the most prominent silversmiths in America, and continue trading today.
