Rubies And Diamonds In Two Jewelry Auctions…

Coming up in June 2017 are two jewelry auctions to be conducted by Sotheby’s, one in Geneva and one in London. Both include beautiful pieces that combine rubies and diamonds. The selection below are neither historically significant and nor are they designed by jewelers whose names we remember. They are all however, pieces we might enjoy wearing! Do you agree?

With that bijou reference so particular to auction-speak provenance, “Property of a Lady”, this next piece, a ruby, sapphire and diamond brooch, is set in gold with circular-cut rubies and sapphires accented with brilliant-cut diamonds in a floral design. Its price is estimated at 1,500 — 2,000 CHF.

In London
