A Victorian diamond and natural pearl pendant c.1880
Hawk Antiques offers an elegant Victorian pendant from around 1880 in a graceful design combining the silky sheen of pearls with the sparkle of diamonds.
Pearls at the compass points and one in the centre create the framework for a geometric pattern that is softened by the circular diamond cluster around the central pearl, and the curved, almost foliate settings for the additional old mine-cut diamonds. Almost 7 carats of diamonds.
If you look at the second image, it will be clear that the pendant is far more three-dimensional than it appears front-on. The little diamond cluster around the central natural pearl is raised to a level above the outer framework, and the central pearl sits at a level above that.
The pendant is for sale at Hawk Antiques £3,950.00. Follow the link to their website for further detail.
